The present petition has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus commanding respondent no.2 i.e. Executive Engineer, National Highways Division, Public Works Department, Rudraprayag ( for short “NH Division, PWD Rudraprayag”) to release the pending admitted bills and GST amount immediately along with 18% interest. 2. The case of the petitioner is that it had carried out certain work of construction of road and had duly submitted its bill but despite the Executive Engineer, NH Division, PWD Rudraprayag having recommended for payment of the bills vide letter dated 27.12.2024 to Chief Engineer / Regional Officer NHAI, Dehradun, the requisite funds have not been made available nor payment has been made so far. 1 2026:UHC:1199-DB 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner in support of his submission places reliance on the certificate of experience dated 07.03.2025 issued by respondent no.2 certifying the aforesaid work done by the petitioner and also on the letter of the Executive Engineer, NH Division, PWD Rudraprayag dated 27.12.2024. 4. Learned State Counsel appearing for respondent no.2 fairly states that the claim of the petitioner shall be considered and decision would be taken expeditiously. 5. Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no.2 to pass a speaking order on the representation of the petitioner firm dated 02.12.2025 within six weeks from the date of communication of the instant order along with photocopy of the representation dated 02.12.2025. In case any amount is found due, respondent no.2 shall ensure that the same is paid to the petitioner firm expeditiously. 6. Pending application, if any, also stands disposed of.
