Sahin Sk … Petitioner(s) Mr. Manjeet Saha … for the Petitioner(s) Mr. Ayan Basu Mr. Gautam Banerjee … for the State-respondent(s) The petitioner was arrested on 18th December, 2025 and is unnecessarily detained in custody. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the recovery in the present case is 1.416 kg of brown sugar. Having considered the huge quantity of contraband being recovered, I am not inclined to grant bail to the present petitioner as the rigors of Section 37 of the NDPS are attracted. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected. The trial court is directed to expedite the proceedings. 2 Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 1948 of 2026 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Memo of evidence submitted be kept with the record.
