Kausik (Rejected) CRM (NDPS) 1971 of 2026 In Re: An Application for Bail under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023/ Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 in connection with Tapan Police Station Case No. 150 of 2025 dated 08.03.2025 under Sections 21(c)/22(c)/23(c)/27A of the NDPS Act, 1985. And In the matter of : Tapash Shaw @ Prasad @ Tapas Shah ……Petitioner. Mr. Kaushik Choudhury Mr. Dwaipayan Panda ……for the Petitioner. Mr. Ayan Basu Mr. Goutam Banerjee ……for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner prays for bail as the seizure list witnesses did not support the prosecution case. State is directed to examine the videographer within a period of 1 month after the Courts reopen after the ensuing Puja Vacation. At this stage, prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected as the quantum of seizure in this case is 14,700 bottles of Phensedyl. With the aforesaid observations CRM (NDPS) 1971 of 2026 is dismissed. 2 All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
