Mr. Deepak Petshali, learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mrs. Sweta Badola Dobhal, learned Brief Holder for the State. 3. The petitioner is a disabled lady and her son was married with respondent no. 4 but unfortunately the petitioner’s son died and thereafter the petitioner lodged the FIR implicating the respondent no. 4 and others. 4. It is contended that there was already a threat perception from respondent nos. 4 to 7 and now in the instant petition the petitioner is praying for police protection to her as well as her husband, grandson as well as to the property where the petitioner is living peacefully. 5. It is contended that the petitioner approached to the police authorities but no action has been taken. 6. Learned Brief Holder on instructions apprise to this court that the FIR was lodged by the petitioner implicating respondent no. 4 and others with regard to the death of her son. On completion of the investigation the final report has already been filed and so far as the threat perception is concerned nothing was found. 7. Be that as it may, the petitioner being a disabled lady have a right of life and liberty and if there is any threat perception the State Agency are under legal obligation to assess and if needed and give adequate security. 8. In such view of the matter, the S.H.O. concerned-the respondent no. 3 is directed to reassess whether there is any threat perception to the petitioner from respondent nos. 4 to 7 and if he comes to the conclusion that still there is a threat perception provide adequate security to the petitioner and family members including her property. 9. In addition to this, the S.H.O. concerned 2026:UHC:1938 shall also call upon the respondent no. 4 to 7 and advise them not to take law in their hands. 10. Since, the petitioner is a disabled lady, the S.H.O. concerned is directed to visit the house of the petitioner with any lady officials and discuss with the petitioner and then assess the threat perception, if any. 11.
