Petition under Section 528 of BNSS, the accused-petitioner has approached this Court with a prayer to quash the FIR No.494/2025 registered at Police Station Sanganer, District Jaipur City (East) for offences punishable under Sections 318(4) and 308(2) of BNS, 2023 alongwith subsequent proceedings. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on the last occasion i.e. on 12.02.2026, this Court referred the matter to the Mediation Centre, Rajasthan High Court, Jaipur Bench, Jaipur. Counsel submits that a letter dated 24.03.2026 along with mediation report dated 19.03.2026 has been received from the Special Secretary (Mediation & Arbitration) of Rajasthan State [2026:RJ-JP:13327] (2 of 2) [CRLMP-8323/2025] Legal Services Authority, Jaipur and the same is available in Court file. Counsel submits that perusal of the mediation report would reveal that the parties have resolved their dispute amicably. Counsel submits that in the aforesaid circumstances, further proceedings in the impugned FIR are fruitless and continuation thereof would be a futile exercise and a waste of precious judicial time and resources. Thus, the impugned FIR may be quashed in view of compromise arrived at between the parties. 3. In view of the aforesaid and considering the submissions made on behalf of the petitioner as also the mediation report dated 19.03.2026 and the fact that parties have resolved their dispute amicably, so also finding that the present case is wholly covered by the principle of law laid down by Hon'ble the Supreme Court in the case of Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab & Anr. reported in 2012 Cr.L.J. (SC) 4934 and in the case of State of Haryana & Ors. Vs. Choudhary Bhajan Lal & Ors. [AIR 1992 SC 604] and as such, the impugned FIR is liable to be quashed in view of compromise arrived at between the parties. 4. In view of the above, this Criminal Misc. Petition is allowed and the FIR No.494/2025 registered at Police Station Sanganer, District Jaipur City (East) alongwith all subsequent proceedings arising out from it, is quashed and set aside.
