21.09.2026 Court No.35. D/L. 18. Kausik (Rejected) CRM (A) 2980 of 2026 In Re: An Application for Anticipatory Bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973/Under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. And In the matter of : Koushik Mandal @ Laddu Mandal ……Petitioner. Mr. Soupal Chatterjee Ms. M. Chatterjee ……for the Petitioner. Mr. Sourendra Betal Mr. Uttam Basak ….for the State. It is submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present criminal case without any justifiable reason. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail, produces the case diary and draws the attention of the Court to the injury report and statement of witnesses. Having considered the statement of the injured which accuses the petitioner of specific overt acts, I am not inclined to extend the benefit of anticipatory bail to the present petitioner. 2 As such prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner in CRM (A) 2980 of 2026 is dismissed. Memo of Evidence submitted be kept with the record. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
