Accused No.7 in Crime No.69/2026 registered by CCB Bengaluru City Police, Bengaluru, for the offences punishable under Sections 316, 318(4), 351, 61 and 190 of BNS, 2023, is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, seeking anticipatory bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.69/2026 was registered by CCB Bengaluru City Police, Bengaluru, for the aforesaid offences against Kumar and others based on the first information dated 30.05.2026 received from Puttaswamy R K S/o Kempaiah. Apprehending arrest in the said case, petitioner had filed Crl.Misc.No.8846/2026, which was rejected as against her by the learned Sessions Judge on 11.09.2026. Therefore, she is before this Court. 4. A reading of the first information would reveal that accused No.1 had represented to the first informant that he was earlier working for Spanish company and he also had worked as scientist in DRDO. He had further represented to the - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010658422026 NC: 2026:KHC:53264 CRL.P No. 14553 of 2026 first informant that he was in possession of a extra ordinary vessel which is described as "Chamatkari Chombu". Believing the representation made by accused No.1 to the first informant and his associate Sai Kumar, it is alleged that first informant had paid a total sum of Rs.1,36,00,000/- to the accused persons. Subsequently, first informant came to know that he was being cheated and therefore, he had demanded repayment of the said amount. Accused No.1, who had assured to repay the said amount subsequently, had failed to honour his commitment. It is under these circumstances, FIR was registered against accused No.1 - Kumar, his associates and family members. 5. Petitioner is said to be the daughter of Kumar from his first wife. Petitioner's mother (accused No.3) and step mother (accused No.6) have been granted anticipatory bail in the present case by learned Sessions Judge in Crl.Misc.No.8846/2026 and 8936/2026. Petitioner is a lady aged 35 years. She has no other criminal antecedents. She has undertaken to cooperate with the police for the purpose of investigation. Considering the aforesaid aspects of the matter - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010658422026 NC: 2026:KHC:53264 CRL.P No. 14553 of 2026 and the nature of allegations found in the first information as against the petitioner, the following order:- 6. The petition is allowed. The respondent - Police or any other police in the State of Karnataka are directed to release the petitioner in the event of her arrest in Crime No.69/2026 registered by CCB Bengaluru City Police, Bengaluru, for the offences punishable under Sections 316, 318(4), 351, 61 and 190 of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions: 1. The Petitioner shall appear before the Investigating Officer within 15 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order and shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties for the likesum to the satisfaction of the investigating officer. 2. Petitioner shall regularly appear before the Trial Court without fail unless exempted by the Trial Court for valid reasons. 3.
