JUSTICE ANANT RAMANATH HEGDE ORAL ORDER Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. 2. Learned High Court Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the 1st respondent. 3. This petition is filed to quash the FIR in Crime No. 556/2026 registered by Madanayakanahally Police Station. The complaint is dated 18.03.2026. 4. It is also alleged that the accused have made an attempt to assault the complainant. 5. The learned counsel for petitioners would submit that such an incident has not taken place. 6. It is submitted that the complainant is in the habit of filing false complaints against various persons. The Court is of the view that the contents of the complaint prima facie disclose the ingredients of the offences alleged. 7. Under the circumstances, to verify whether the incident has taken place or not, there has to be investigation. 8. Accordingly, petition is dismissed. It is made clear that observations made in this order are not to be construed as having reflected on the merits or demerits of the complaint. All contentions are kept open.
