1. Affidavit of service and supplementary affidavit filed on behalf of petitioners are taken on record.
2. By presenting this writ petition Directors of Amboula Modern Rice Mill Private Limited and Amboula Jute Mill Private Limited have approached this Court seeking certain directions upon the concerned police authorities to take steps for their protection.
3. State respondents are represented by learned advocate who has filed a communication dated 1st September, 2026 of Inspector-in-Charge, Habra Police Station, Barasat Police District and same is taken on record. Copy of said communication dated 1st September, 2026 is
2 made over to learned advocate representing petitioner.
4. From the case made out it appears that there are disputes amongst directors of aforesaid rice mill and jute mill. Consequently complaint was lodged dated 21st August, 2026 before the concerned police authorities.
5. It is disclosed in the communication dated 1st September, 2026 that on preliminary enquiry an FIR was registered being Habra Police Station Case No. 544 of 2026 dated 31st August, 2026 under certain provisions of BNS.
6. In view of initiation of aforesaid criminal prosecution concerned police authorities are
directed to conduct investigation in accordance with law and submit report before the jurisdictional Magistrate.
7. Police authorities are also directed to maintain peace and tranquility in and around aforesaid rice mill and jute mill and to see that no untoward incident takes place.
8. Writ petition stands disposed of.
9. Application being CAN 1 of 2026 is also
disposed of.
