Order No.03 / Dated : 11.02.2026
Bail petition filed on behalf of the petitioner- Navneet Yadav @ Amandeep Kumar Yadav @ Amandeep Kr. Rai, who is in custody since 27.08.2025 in connection with M.G.M. (Mango Mufassil) P.S. Case No. 69 of 2025 for the offences registered under Sections 308(2), 308(5), 351(3), 79 of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, Sections 66C and 66D of the Information Technology Act pending in the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge II-cum-Special Judge (Cyber), Jamshedpur, is pressed into motion.
The complaint petition filed by the father of the victim girl is the basis of the present case. The main allegation is that one Pratik Mohanty enticed the victim girl in a relationship and by taking into confidence, used her intimate photographs to extort huge sum of money, lakhs in form of gold jewellery. It is said that this petitioner was also involved in the said extortion/blackmail.
It is argued by the learned counsel on behalf of petitioner that this petitioner had no concern with the victim girl, who was in some sort of relationship with the accused no.1. There is no material to show that the intimate photographs were ever circulated. The victim girl has stated in no uncertain term in her statement under Section 161 of the Cr.P.C. that there were two accused persons, meaning thereby that this petitioner had not impersonated himself as Pratik Mohanty. In the complaint petition, the allegation of extortion of gold jewellery is made. However, the learned trial Court refers to withdrawal of money from ATM card and Credit card.
Learned A.P.P. opposed the bail petition.
Under the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, the above named petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/-(Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court below.
