Application is filed to compound the offence in Criminal Miscellaneous No.287/2026 pending before the JMFC, Devanahalli for the offence under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondent are present. Petitioner as well as the respondent are present. 4. An application is filed under Sections 528 read with Section 359(2) of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 "(BNSS)" seeking leave of the Court to compound the offence. The application is supported by the affidavits of both the petitioner and the respondent. 6. It is submitted that the respondent and the petitioner are living together and the respondent does not intend to prosecute the matter. 7. On enquiry by the Court, the respondent who is the wife makes a statement that she is living with the husband and she has no intention to prosecute the husband. 8. Considering the grounds urged and submissions made at the Bar and considering the materials on record, the application is allowed. 9. Consequently, the petition is allowed. 10.
