ORAL ORDER
1. Learned Additional Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondents.
2. Heard Sri. Ranjan Kumar K., learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Sri. Aditya Diwakara, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the respondent-State.
3. In this writ petition, the petitioner is assailing the order dated 31.12.2018 passed in Appeal No.1003 of 2016 at

Annexure-A passed by Karnataka Appellate Tribunal and the
order dated 21.09.2016 at Annexure-D passed by respondent No.2.
4. Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties, it is forthcoming that the order dated 21.09.2016 at Annexure-D was passed by the competent authority in exercise of the powers under Sections 79-A and 79-B of the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1961.
5. In the meanwhile, the aforesaid provisions have been omitted/amended by the respondent-State. In view of the same, and having regard to the order dated 01.04.2025 passed in Writ Petition No. 12829 of 2023 the present writ petition deserves to be allowed.
6. Accordingly, the writ petition is allowed. The order dated 31.12.2018 passed in Appeal No.1003 of 2016 by the Karnataka Appellate Tribunal at Annexure-A and the order dated 21.09.2016 at Annexure-D passed by respondent No.2 are hereby set aside.

7. Respondent No.3-Tahsildar is directed to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records, in accordance with law.
