Leave is granted to the petitioner to amend the cause-title. It has been clarified by the learned advocate for the NCB that total quantum seized in the present case is 564 gm of opium. The complaint has already been submitted before the learned Special Court. In view of the quantum of seizure in the present case which is of intermediate quantity, I am of the opinion that further detention of the present petitioner is unwarranted. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Allowed.
2 Accordingly, the petitioner viz, Hritik Navrang @ Hritik Nararang shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand only), with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Special Court (NDPS Act), 6th Court, Barasat. If on bail, the petitioner shall also make himself physically available on each and every date so fixed by the learned Special court/trial court and shall not leave the district of North 24 Parganas without prior permission of the learned Special court/trial court. Additionally, the petitioner shall make himself available before the Investigating Officer of the case as and when he will be required by the I.O. till further orders of the court. Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 1778 of 2026 is allowed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
