Sarma, learned Legal Aid Counsel for the applicant, who submits that there is a delay of 426 days in preferring the appeal against the impugned judgement dated 27/09/2024 and the subsequent order dated 01/10/2024, passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, POCSO, Kamrup (M), in Sessions (Special) Case No. 226/2023, convicting the applicant/appellant under section 6 of the POCSO Act read with section 376 AB of IPC. Mr. R.R. Kaushik, learned APP, submits that he has got no objection to the delay being condoned. None has appeared for the respondent no. 2.
