Affidavit of service, as filed, be kept with the record. 2. The petitioner is aggrieved that in spite of an order dated 23.02.2026, rendered by the Principal Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal, finding the petitioner eligible for compassionate appointment and directing his appointment as such, no steps have been taken by the authorities to ensure that the petitioner is given the appointment on compassionate ground. 3. Learned Advocate appearing for the State submits that the entire process is in progress and will be completed within a period of six weeks from date. 4. In view of the submissions made by the learned Advocate for the State, the respondent authorities are directed to complete the entire process by October 31, 2026 and issue the necessary letter of appointment within a week thereafter, positively by November 10, 2026.
