Learned counsel for the petitioner submits a resignation letter of the petitioner which demonstrates that the petitioner has resigned from the job with effect from April 27, 2026. She claims that she has been residing at her parental home in Kolaghat.
Learned counsel for the State points out that the witnesses of the case are from Kolkata and it shall be difficult for them to travel to Purba Medinipur if the case is transferred to Purba Medinipur. After much deliberation learned counsel for the petitioner submits that if the petitioner is permitted to appear before the learned trial Court virtually from Kolaghat, the matter be allowed to remain before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore.
In view of the above, the proceeding being ACGR No. 6894 of 2025 shall remain before the Court of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore, South 24 Parganas. The petitioner is at liberty to appear before the said learned Court on every date of hearing virtually. The application being CRR No. 2807 of 2026 is disposed of.
