A joint memo has been filed signed by the petitioners and respondent No.2 which reads as under: "i. That, due to matrimonial differences between the 1st petitioner and the respondent No.2 and the 2nd respondent approached the 1st respondent police with a complaint, who registered a case in their Crime No.87/2024 for the offences punishable under sections 498(A), 504, 506, 34 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3 & 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act against the petitioners and pending on the file of the Hon'ble XI Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Mayo Hall, Bengaluru. ii. That the petitioners have filed the above petition seeking quashing of the First Information Report and Complaint before this Hon'ble Court, meantime, petitioner No.1 and the 2nd respondent at the intervention of their family members, well-wishers and friends agreed to settle all their differences, accordingly filed the Memorandum of Settlement in Crl.Misc.No.107/2024 before the Hon'ble Metropolitan Magistrate Traffic Court-I, Bengaluru, and both obeying the same and Crl.Misc.No.729/2025 pending before the Hon'ble I Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Bengaluru, the 2nd respondent undertake to withdraw the same. That the 1st petitioner and the 2nd respondent agreed to reside as a dutiful husband and wife without any conditions, to become dutiful parents for their child and undertake to resolve their problems by mutual discussions in future and not to blame or drag the family members in their matrimonial life. iv. The 2nd respondent had approached the 1st respondent due to difference between herself and the 1st petitioner as such allegations made against each other are withdrawn. The 1st petitioner and the 2nd respondent amicably settled their differences on the advice of the well-wishers without undue influence, coercion, threat etc." 3. The dispute between petitioner No.1/ husband and respondent No.2 having arisen out of matrimonial proceedings, at the instance of well-wishers, they submit that they have resolved all their disputes and that they would be living together as husband and wife amicably. The father and mother of petitioner No.1/ husband, namely petitioner No.2 and petitioner No.3, also submit that they would endeavour to see that the petitioner and respondent No.2 live in a harmonious manner. All their submissions are placed on record. 5. In view of the settlement having been arrived at, this Court passes the following: ORDER i. The Criminal Petition is allowed. ii. First Information report in Crime No.87/2024 registered by East Zone Women Police Station, Bengaluru City pending on the file of XI Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Mayo Hall, Bengaluru, is hereby quashed.
