ORAL ORDER
Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned High Court Government Pleader appearing for respondent No.1.
2. This petition is filed to quash the complaint dated 13.04.2026 lodged by respondent No.2 and the FIR registered in Crime No.58/2026 by the K.R.Sagar Police Station, Mandya.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that there was no scope to register the FIR for the offence under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘BNS’).

4. It is submitted that, assuming that the alleged incident had taken place, at the most (without admitting anything), it can be a case under Section 106 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (for short ‘IPC’) and nothing beyond that.
5. The Court has considered the contentions raised at the Bar and perused the records. The charge sheet is not yet filed and the investigation is underway.
6. The petitioner is at liberty to put forth his version before the Investigating Officer. Thereafter, the Investigating Officer shall objectively investigate the matter and file an appropriate report in accordance with law.
6. With these observations, the petition is
disposed of.
