This writ petition alleges inaction on the part of the respondent WBSEDCL authority in effecting electricity supply to the petitioner’s Submersible Pump. 2. Learned Advocate appearing for the WBSEDCL authority submits that as many as ten poles are required to be installed for the purpose of effecting supply to the petitioner’s submersible pump and in view of the ongoing monsoon season installation of poles is difficult. 3. The submission made on behalf of the WBSEDCL authority has substance. In such view of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of by leaving the Distribution Company free to install as many number of poles as may be required for the purpose of effecting electricity to the petitioner and to other entitled consumers. However, same should not be delayed indefinitely. 4. It is submitted that WBSEDCL authority would install requisite number of poles and effect electricity 2 supply to the petitioner’s submersible pump within a period of twelve weeks from date. 5. Needless to mention that the aforesaid time limit would not apply if the petitioner does not comply with the requisite formalities. It is however, submitted by Mr. Halder that all formalities have been complied with. 6. WPA 25829 of 2026 stands disposed of. No costs. ( Om Narayan Rai, J. )
