Affidavit-of-service filed today be kept on record. 2. In the writ petition, the writ petitioners allege that the municipal authorities of Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) are not mutating their names in respect of the premises No. 4, Park Lane, Kolkata- 700016 in Ward No.61. However, from the writ petition, it appears that no appropriate application in proper form for the purpose of mutation has been annexed. 3. Learned counsel for the writ petitioners places a copy of the letter received by the office of the Assessor Collector (South) of the KMC on August 21, 2025. From the said letter, it appears that the writ petitioners wrote this letter to the concerned Officer enclosing a copy of the judgment and decree dated January 31, 2024 passed by the learned Judge, Fifth Bench, City Civil Court at Calcutta in Title Suit No.2878 of 2008. Let a copy of the said letter be kept on record. 2 4. Since the application for mutation is required to be filed in the prescribed form along with the documents required for such purpose and the same are absent in the present writ petition, no direction upon the municipal authorities can be given. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition being WPA 27746 of 2025 is disposed of by granting opportunity to the writ petitioners to approach the municipal authorities seeking mutation in respect of the premises mentioned hereinabove by filing the application for mutation in appropriate form upon compliance of all requisite formalities. 6. There will be no order as to costs. 7. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
