From the documents that have been placed before this Court by the learned Advocate representing the parties, it appears that the petitioner was unable to clear more than one semester examinations. For not clearing the 5th semester examination, she will not be able to attend and pursue the 7th semester classes. Apart from the 5th semester, there are other supplementary examinations which the petitioner is required to clear. 2. The Rules of the Calcutta University does not permit a candidate who has not cleared the 5th semester examination to attend classes and appear in the 7th semester. 3. In view of the above, the prayer of the petitioner to enroll, attend and pursue her 7th semester classes as Honours candidate in B.Sc. (Hons.) cannot be allowed. 4. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. 5. Parties to act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 2 6.
