Goswami, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor, Assam for the State respondent. 2. This bail application has been filed by the petitioner namely, Baharul Islam under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, seeking bail in connection with North Lakhimpur Case No. 403/2025 Page No.# 2/2 (Corresponding to G.R. Case No. 1104/2025) under Sections 316(2)/ 318(4)/ 179/ 180 of BNS, 2023. 3. The allegation against the petitioner is that on receipt of secret information, the police team apprehended the accused person and the other persons fled away from the spot and during search a large number fake currencies were recovered from the petitioner. 4. The investigation of the case is over, culminating the charge sheet. It also appears that the official witnesses will prove the case. Hence, there is no apprehension of the petitioner influencing the witnesses. In the meantime, the petitioner has spent 117 days behind the bars. 5. Having regard to the above, further detention of the petitioner may not be necessary. Accordingly, it is directed that the petitioner shall be released on bail on furnishing a bond of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand) only with 2 (two) sureties each of the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned CJM, Lakhimpur, North Lakhimpur. 6. It is further provided that the petitioner shall cooperate with the trial and he shall not influence any witnesses acquainted with this case, in any manner. 7.
