1) Affidavit of service filed on behalf of petitioners is taken on record. 2) It is submitted by learned advocate representing petitioners that based on an agreement amount was paid to private respondents but subsequently it was found that there is violation of conditions delineated in agreement prompting petitioners to approach concerned police authorities for taking steps. 3) State respondents and private respondents are represented by learned advocates. 4) Learned advocate representing State respondents has filed a communication dated 9th September, 2026 of Inspector-in-Charge, Maheshtala Police Station, Diamond Harbour Police District and same is taken on
2 record. Copies of said communication are made over to learned advocates representing the petitioners and private respondents. 5) It is disclosed in communication dated 9th September, 2026 that taking note of complaint lodged by petitioners FIR was registered being Maheshtala Police Station Case No. 673/26 dated 7th September, 2026 under certain provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. 6) In view of steps taken by concerned police authorities, no further order need be passed at this stage excepting direction upon concerned police authorities to investigate the case in accordance with law and file report before jurisdictional Magistrate. 7) Writ petition stands disposed of. 8) Parties to act on server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
