Petitioners has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs:- “10.1. That the Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent No.1 to consider and decide the pending departmental appeal filed by the petitioner within stipulated period. Learned counsel for the petitioner submit that the petitioner was subjected to a punishment in a departmental enquiry against the order of punishment. He has preferred an appeal before the appellate authority on 22.03.2024 (Annexure P/2), however till date the appeal submitted by the petitioner has not been considered and decided by the appellate authority, therefore direction be issued to the appellate authority i.e. respondent No.1 to consider and take decision on pending appeal at the earliest within a specific time period. 3. Counsel for the respondents submits that he has no objection to the limited prayer made by the counsel for the petitioner that the appeal filed by the petitioner is still pending consideration and the same is to be considered and decided in accordance with law at the earliest. 4. On due consideration of submission made by the learned counsel for the respective parties, nature of grievance raised, this writ petition at this stage is disposed of, directing the respondent No.1 to consider and take decision on the pending appeal dated 22.03.2024 in accordance with law, expeditiously within a further period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt/production of a certified copy of this order. 5.
