JUSTICE S.R.KRISHNA KUMAR ORAL ORDER In this petition, petitioners seek for the following reliefs:- “(a) Issue, A Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the services rendered under Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) – 1996 in the cadres of - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:18162 WP No. 34241 of 2025 Asst. Professor (Sr. Scale) and Asst. Professor (Sel. Grade) from 10.02.2001 to 10.02.2006 and 10.02.2006 to 10.02.2009 respectively to the cadres of Assistant Professor of Academic Grade pay (AGP) of Rs.8000 and Associate professor of AGP of Rs.9000 under CAS-2006 with retrospective effect. (b) And further direct the respondents to issue modified promotion orders with effect from 10.02.2006 and 10.02.2009 respectively to the cadres of Assistant Professor of AGP of Rs.8000 and Associate Professor of AGP of Rs.9000. (c) To pass such other order/relief as deemed fit in the circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice.” 2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned counsel for the respondent Nos.1 and 2 and learned AGA for respondent No.3 and perused the material on record. 3. It is the grievance of the petitioners that their representation dated 04.12.2020 at Annexure-LL, representations dated 14.09.2021, 18.09.2021, 05.10.2021 and 17.12.2021 at Annexure – OO and representation dated 14.12.2024 at Annexure- QQ submitted to the respondents has not been considered so far by them nor any order has been passed on the same. Under these - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:18162 WP No. 34241 of 2025 circumstances, the petitioner is before this Court by way of the present petition. 4. Per contra, learned counsel for the respondents submits that if reasonable time is given, they would consider and pass necessary order on the said representations. 5. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances and rival submissions, the concerned respondent is hereby directed to address the grievances of the petitioners and consider their representation dated 04.12.2020 at Annexure-LL, representations dated 14.09.2021, 18.09.2021, 05.10.2021 and 17.12.2021 at Annexure – OO and representation dated 14.12.2024 at Annexure- QQ and pass appropriate order / take appropriate decision in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
