JUSTICE ANANT RAMANATH HEGDE ORAL ORDER Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. 2. The petition is filed to quash the proceedings in C.C. No.764/2020 on the file of JMFC Nanjangud. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no transaction between the petitioner and the respondent No.2. It is the further submission that the petitioner is an employee in a mobile shop. 4. However, to the pointed question put by the Court as to whether the cheque in question belongs to the petitioner and whether the petitioner has signed the cheque, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the cheque belongs to the petitioner and the petitioner has signed the cheque. 5. In addition, it is also submitted that the notice is issued under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (NI Act).
