1. Report filed on behalf of the CESC Limited is taken on record.
2. Mr. Halder, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that upon perusal of the report filed on behalf of the CESC authorities, it is evident that a sum of Rs. 9,835.28 (Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty Five and Twenty Eight Paisa) is due and owing in respect of two consumers whose supplies at premises no. 71/H/4, Dr. Sudhir Bose Road, Kolkata 700023 stand disconnected.

Mr. Halder, submits that since it is the stand of CESC Limited that new metered supply in favour of the petitioner can be granted subject to payment of the aforesaid dues of Rs. 9,835.28 (Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty Five and Twenty Eight Paisa), the petitioner is agreeable to take supply on such terms.
4. In view of such submission, this writ petition is disposed of by directing CESC authorities to grant a
2 separate metered supply in favour of the petitioner subject to the petitioner making payment of the aforesaid sum of Rs. 9,835.28 (Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty Five and Twenty Eight Paisa) as also payment of the other charges applicable for grant of new connection and compliance with all necessary formalities.
5. Needless to mention that such connection would be effected within two working days from the date of the petitioner making the payments as aforesaid and complying with all necessary formalities, according to law.
6. Accordingly, WPA 22888 of 2026 stands disposed of. No Costs.
7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
