This Criminal Appeal under Section 14-A(2) of the Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 together with amendment Act, 2016 (in short, “the Act”) in nature of bail is directed against the impugned order dated 29.11.2025 passed by the learned PO Special Court under S.C. & S.T. (PoA) Act, Cuttack in C.T. Case No.119 of 2023 arising out of Salepur P.S. Case No.157 of 2023 refusing to grant bail to the appellant for commission of offence punishable U/Ss.302/34/341/294 of IPC and Sec. 3(1)(r)/3(2)(v)(va) of the Act, on the main allegation of facilitating the co- accused to stab the deceased Liku to death. 3. Heard, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Routray, learned counsel for the appellant and Mr. S.C. Pradhan, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor in the matter and perused the record together with the copy of deposition of PWs.1 to 16. None appears for the victim despite being duly informed as apprised by the learned State Counsel. 4. After having considered the rival submissions and taking into consideration the nature and gravity of the offences as alleged against the appellant vis-à-vis the accusations sought to be brought against him and taking into account the materials so placed on record keeping in view the evidence of witnesses so far examined, more particularly that of PWs.1 & 2, this Court does not consider it proper to grant bail to the appellant. 5. Hence, the prayer for bail of the appellant stands rejected. Accordingly, the CRLA stands dismissed.
