Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of petitioners is taken on record. 2. It is submitted by Mr. Aniruddha Chatterjee, learned Senior Advocate representing petitioners that house of petitioners was attacked and there is an allegation of outraging modesty of petitioner no.2. Narrating ordeal of the petitioners complaint was lodged on 20th August, 2026 before the concerned police authority and prayer is made for directing police authority to take steps, in accordance with law and provide protection. 3. Private respondents are represented by learned advocates who have jointly opposed this writ petition and have disputed the submissions made on behalf of petitioners alleging assault and outraging of modesty. It is further submitted that MR dealership of petitioner no.1 was suspended and a fine was imposed. [2] 4. Learned advocate representing State respondents has filed a communication dated 7th September, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Onda Police Station, Bankura and same is taken on record. 5. It is disclosed in the said communication that taking note of complaint lodged by petitioners and on preliminary enquiry FIR was registered being Onda P.S. Case no.185/ 2026 dated 31st August, 2026. 6. Since aforesaid criminal prosecution has been initiated on registering FIR, concerned police authority is directed to investigate the case and file report before the jurisdictional Magistrate. 7. Concerned police authority is also directed to provide protection to petitioners, if occasion so arises. 8. Writ petition stands disposed of. 9.
