Pursuant to order dated 21st August, 2026 learned advocate representing respondent no. 9 on virtual mode through learned advocate appearing on physical mode before this Court has filed a notice dated 26th February, 2026 issued by Law Enforcement Agency, Government of West Bengal and same is taken on record. Copies of notice dated 26th February, 2026 are made over to learned advocates representing petitioner and State respondents. 2. It is disclosed in the said notice that complaint was received regarding content hosted or published on the facebook platform at a 2 particular URLs and said URLs is indicated in said notice dated 26th February, 2026. According to Law Enforcement Agency prima facie it was found that there was violation of relevant rules of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. It is also stated in the said notice dated 26th February, 2026 that on 23rd January, 2026 one Poli Mondal appeared before the police station and lodged complaint alleging that an unknown person has created fake social media account in her name. According to Law Enforcement Agency alleged conduct reported by said Poli Mondal comes under the purview of Section 356 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. 3. Therefore, it appears that respondent no. 9 has taken steps by blocking facebook account of petitioner based on said notice dated 26th February, 2026. 4. In view of steps taken by respondent no. 9 taking note of notice dated 26th February, 2026 no further order need be passed on this writ petition. 5. Writ petition stands disposed of. 6. However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to approach appropriate forum in pursuit of remedy. 3 7.
