Sec. School, UDISE No.33081601812, Mecheri, Mettur Taluk, Salem District, based on the recommendation of second respondent vide his proceedings Na.Ka.No.378/A2/2026 dated 30.05.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2. Petitioner is a private school governed by the Tamil Nadu Private Schools (Regulation) Act, 2018 and the Rules framed thereunder. The school is running under Sri Raghavendra Educational Trust and holds a valid certificate of recognition for classes LKG to XII std till 31.03.2025. Amendment to Tamil Nadu Private Schools (Regulation) Rules, 2023 has enabled grant of certificate of recognition for a period of up to 20 years under Rule 8 of the said Rules.

WP No. 24117 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 5 recognition for a period of 20 years (01.04.2027 to 31.03.2045) before second respondent and second respondent, after due examination has forwarded the said application to first respondent, recommending grant of recognition for 20 years. The said application is still pending. 3. At the outset, it was submitted by learned State Counsel for respondents 1 and 2 that they would consider petitioner’s application dated 07.05.2026 and pass appropriate orders, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by learned counsel for petitioner. 4. In view thereof, there shall be a direction to first respondent, to consider petitioner’s application dated 07.05.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to petitioner, within a period of ten weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy.
