ORAL ORDER
In this writ petition, petitioners have sought for a writ of mandamus to the respondent - Authorities to issue

saguvali chit/certificate in respect of the land in question as per the Regularization Committee's order dated 21.07.2001 (Annexure-D) and confirmed by the letter dated 08.10.2012 (Annexure-L) issued by the respondent No.4.
2. In this regard, Sri S R Raviprakash, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, contended that, the names of the petitioners have been recommended for grant of land by the respondent - Authorities. However, the respondent - Authorities have not issued saguvali chit in respect of the land in question. Accordingly, sought for a direction to the respondent - Authorities. In this regard,
learned counsel appearing for the petitioners places a reliance on the judgment of this Court in the case of Mahadev & others vs The State of Karnataka and others reported in ILR 2016 Kar. 3509 and submitted that, the recommendation has been made by the Committee for regularisation of unauthorized occupation

for grant of land, and therefore, there is no impediment for the respondent No.4 - Tahsidlar to issue the saguvali chit. Accordingly, sought for interference of this Court.
3. Per contra, the learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for respondents submitted that, the respondent - Authorities will verify the original records and thereafter take a decision in the matter.
4. In the light of the submissions made by the
learned counsel appearing for the parties, on careful
consideration of the Committee's order would indicate that the Regularization Committee vide order dated 21.07.2001 (Annexure-D) had taken a decision to grant the land in favour of the petitioners and the same is also forthcoming from the letter dated 08.10.2012 (Annexure-L) by the respondent No.4.
5. In that view of the matter, following the declaration of law made by this Court in the

aforementioned judgment, respondent No.4 is directed to take a decision in the matter in furtherance of the order dated 21.07.2001 (Annexure-D) passed by the Regularization Committee, after verifying the original records, and thereafter take a decision in the matter, in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
With the above observation, the writ petition is
disposed of.
