Present petitions have been filed challenging the common order dated 20th February,2024 in Misc. case no. 03 of 2016. The petitions were filed by the husband and wife challenging the same order regarding the grant of alimony by way of special provisions. However, during the pendency of the proceeding better sense prevailed and both the parties entered into mutual settlement and filed a 2 petition for grant of divorce on the mutual consent. Upon such petition being filed bearing Matrimonial Suit no. 148 of 2026 titled as Ridhyee Chatterjee Vs. Parikshit Munshi, the Court of learned Additional district Judge, 1st Court, Barasat, North 24 Parganas, granted divorce under Section 28 of the Special Marriage Act, 1954. 2. Learned counsel for both the parties submit that since the parties have entered into mutual settlement, they do not want to continue with the present petitions. 3. Hence, the present petitions are disposed of as being settled / not pressed. 4.
