By this application filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023, the petitioner, namely, Selim Ahmed @ Salim Ahmed, has prayed for pre-arrest bail in connection with Special (N) Case No. 37/2025 pending in the court of the learned Special Judge, South Salmara at Page No.# 2/2 Mankachar. The petitioner has been shown as absconder in the charge sheet. The petitioner has submitted that he is interested in facing the trial, but he apprehends that if he appears before the learned Trial Court he may be remanded to custody. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for both sides. Since the petitioner is interested in facing the trial, this Court is of the opinion that he does not deserve to be detained in custody. Therefore, the prayer for anticipatory bail made by the petitioner is allowed. The petitioner Selim Ahmed @ Salim Ahmed is directed to appear before the learned Special Judge, South Salmara at Mankachar within 10 (ten) days from today in connection with Special (N) Case No. 37/2025. On his appearance, the learned Special Judge, South Salmara at Mankachar shall allow the petitioner to go on bail of Rs.50,000/- with one surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Trial Court.
