Mr. Bilal Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mr. Narayan Dutt, learned Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. According to petitioner, she qualified for counselling for appointment as Assistant Teacher, Government Primary School, Chamoli; however, the notification regarding counselling was published in newspaper on 10.01.2026, and the counselling was scheduled for 12.01.2026, and in between there was a Sunday; consequently, petitioner could not collect the necessary educational certificate, as a result, she could not appear in the counselling. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner points out that distance between Haridwar and Gopeshwar (Chamoli) is about 250 kms. 5. Learned State Counsel, however, submits that petitioner herself is to be blamed for not appearing in the counselling despite advance notice. 6. Having regard to the facts of the case and also in view of the fact that petitioner was called for counselling, based on her score of quality point marks in the selection, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to District Education Officer concerned within ten days from 2026:UHC:1392 today. If she makes representation within stipulated time, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within three weeks thereafter. 7. Let certified copy of this order be supplied to counsel for the parties today itself on payment of usual charges.
