Adv. Tapasi Palit Sinha, Adv. Suman Chattopadhyay …for the State. Report submitted by the State is taken on record. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that pursuant to work orders issued by the Block Development Officer, Kaliachak III Block for construction of individual household latrines, the petitioners completed the said work successfully and raised bills for the same to the tune of Rs.1,36,10,000/- out of which Rs.57,34,850/- has been paid. The remaining amount is still due. It appears from the report submitted by the State that payment of the dues has been recommended by the Block Development Officer before the Additional District Magistrate and Additional Executive Officer, Malda Zilla Parishad, being the 3rd respondent herein, and is pending consideration before the said authority. It appears that the work was completed sometime in 2017 and the entire dues are yet to be cleared. In view of the same, the 3rd respondent herein is directed to disburse the entire due amount to the petitioners subject to the petitioners complying with all requisite formalities, within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 2 The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
