1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of petitioner is taken on record.
2. By presenting this writ petition petitioner prays for direction upon the concerned police authorities to take steps based on complaint lodged and investigate the case. It is submitted that due to marital discord petitioner being wife has approached this Court seeking necessary direction upon the concerned police authorities and to provide assistance to the petitioner.
3. State respondents and private respondents are represented by learned advocates.
4. Learned advocate for the State respondents has filed a communication dated 7th September, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge,
2 Namkhana Police Station, Sundarban Police District and same is taken on record.
5. It is disclosed in the communication that based on complaint lodged by petitioner FIR was registered being Namkhana Police Station Case No. 184 of 2026 dated 3rd September, 2026 under certain provisions of BNS. Since FIR was registered concerned police authorities are directed to investigate the case and submit report before the jurisdictional Magistrate at an early date.
6. Concerned police authorities are also directed to maintain peace and tranquility and to see that no untoward incident takes place.
7. Writ petition is disposed of.
8. However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to approach jurisdictional Magistrate, if occasion so arises.
