1) In terms of order dated 11th August, 2026 writ petition is taken up for consideration when Mr. Ray, learned Government Pleader appears on behalf of State respondents and it is submitted that petitioner was arrested on 14th July, 2026 and in support of same arrest memo was issued on 14th July, 2026. Ground of arrest as it is revealed from said arrest memo is public nuisance caused by petitioner. It is submitted that subsequently petitioner was released on furnishing personal bond. 2) Communication dated 6th August, 2026 of Inspector-in-Charge, Halisahar Police Station, Barrackpore Police Commissionerate enclosing copy of
2 arrest memo dated 14th July, 2026 along with other documents are placed before this Court on behalf of State respondents and same are taken on record. Copy of said communication enclosing arrest memo and other documents are made over to learned advocate representing petitioner. 3) Taking note of submission made on behalf of State respondents, it ought not to be inferred that petitioner was arrested on 14th July, 2026 inappropriately. In view of disclosure of such facts which are corroborated by arrest memo dated 14th July, 2026, no further order need be passed on this writ petition and same stands dismissed. 4) Parties to act on server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
