No.35054/2025 pending before XXIV Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bengaluru, arising from Crime No.142/2025. 2. The offences alleged are under Sections 85, 115(2), 351(2), 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita ('BNS'), 2023 and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. The application is filed under Sections 528 and 359 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, ('BNSS') 2023, seeking leave of the Court to compound the offences and to quash the proceedings on the ground that the dispute between husband and wife has been amicably settled. 5. It is submitted that the petitioner and accused no.2 have secured a decree for divorce in M.C. No.1634/2026 on the file of Additional Family Court-1, Bengaluru. 6. Respondent No.2 who is the complainant/wife submits that the decree for dissolution of marriage has been granted and she has not made any claim for any alimony. 7. It is also submitted that the said Misc. No.5266/2026 has been disposed of pursuant to mediation and there is an agreement to withdraw this complaint. However, in the application there is a reference to the said decree. The application is signed by both the parties to the proceedings, the Court is of the view that, there is no impediment to allow the petition to quash the proceedings. 9. Hence, the following: ORDER (i) Petition is allowed. (ii) The proceedings in C.C. No.35054/2025 pending before XXIV Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bengaluru (arising from Crime No.142/2025) is quashed.
