Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this writ petition, the petitioner has assailed order dated 16.02.2026 (Annexure P-2), in terms whereof, the petitioner namely Bhagirath, who was posted in Hamirpur Division, in terms of Annexure P-1, dated 04.12.2024, has been ordered to be transferred to 8th Cricle Hamirpur and in 1Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2026:HHC:5102 his place, the respondent stands posted to Hamirpur Division from Tauni Devi. 2. When this case was listed on the last date of hearing, learned counsel appearing for respondent No.3 informed the Court that transfer of the petitioner from Hamirpur Division to 8th Circle, Hamipur, entails his transfer to an office which was just 100 meters away from the office being occupied in Hamirpur Division. 3. Confronted with this question, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the State was out and out favouring the private respondent and in terms of the impugned order, he stood posted from Tauni Devi to Hamirpur, that too on his request, in relaxation of the bar on posting to home sub- Division. 4. As it could not be disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner stands transferred to an office, which is just situated at a distance of 100 meters from his own office, this Court sees no reason to interfere with the impugned transfer order. The decision to post the private respondent in home division has been taken by the Authorities 3 2026:HHC:5102 in relaxation to the policy and in light of the fact that the same has not resulted in any such inconvenience to the present petitioner so as to entail interference in the said transfer order, this petition is dismissed.
