… Petitioner(s)
Mr. Shibaji Kumar Das Mr. Dipendu Sarkar
… for the Petitioner(s)
Mr. Subhabrata Chowdhury Mr. Arijit Banik
… for the State-respondent(s)
Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 195 days and there was misunderstanding. Consequent to which, the victim decided to terminate her life. State opposes the prayer for bail. I have taken into account the postmortem report along with the contending materials appearing against the present petitioner. Having considered the complicity of the present petitioner which is different from the other accused, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.
2 The petitioner will renew his prayer for bail after the evidence of the vulnerable witnesses is over. Accordingly, CRM (M) 1877 of 2026 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
