1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of petitioner is taken on record.
2. Learned advocate representing petitioner prays for certain directions upon the concerned police authority for providing assistance and protection.
3. Learned advocate representing State respondents has filed a communication dated 21st August, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Haripal Police Station and same is taken on record. Copy of said communication is made over to learned advocate representing petitioner.
4. It is disclosed in the communication that on completing investigation charge sheet dated 30th June, 2024 is filed.

5. Taking note of date of charge sheet dated 30th June, 2026 Court presumes that by this time Court below has taken cognizance of offence. Once charge sheet is filed and cognizance of offence is taken by Court below writ petition is not maintainable under Article 226 of Constitution of India.
6. In this regard reliance is placed on the judgment of Hon’ble Supreme Court reported in 2024 SCC OnLine SC 5761 (Neeta Singh & Ors. Vs. State of Uttar Pradesh & Ors.).
7. Hence, present writ petition is not maintainable and same stands dismissed.
8. However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to take steps in accordance with law by approaching appropriate forum, if so advised.
9. Parties to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
