Petitioner claims to be a contractor and has been executing works under various grants and schemes. He was entrusted with the following works: 1) Construction of CC Road from Sai Baba Temple to Emmani Durgarao Baraon in Chinnayagudem Village for an amount of Rs.3,29,435/-, 2) Construction of CC road from Koyya Ramarao (H) to Pandu Satyanarayana (H) in Chinnayagudem Village for an amount of Rs.93,334/-, 3) Construction of CC Road from NTR statue to Near Jagajeevan Rao statue in Pallantla Village for an amount of Rs.3,74,275/-, 4) Construction of CC road from BC Community Hall to Chinnam Ramulu Field in Pallantla Village for an amount of Rs.4,20,660/-, 5) Construction of CC Road from Cherukuri Veerraju House to Botta Ramakrishna House in Chinnayagudem Village for an amount of Rs.2,39,002/-, and 6) Construction of CC road from A.Lakshmi (H) to Ambati Ramya (H) in Chinnayagudem Village for an amount of Rs.1,42,770/-, all in Devarapalli Mandal, East Godavari District. According to the petitioner, the total cost of the works amounts to Rs.15,99,476/- under GGMP Funds. The said works were duly executed by the petitioner as per the guidelines issued by the authorities. However, the respondents have failed to pay the said 5 amount till date. Aggrieved thereby, the present Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner herein. 3. Heard. Perused the record. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj & Rural Development, on written instructions, submits that the petitioner has duly executed and completed the entire scope of work sanctioned under GGMP Grant. She further submits that the estimated cost of the works was Rs.20.02 lakhs, and the total value of the work executed was Rs.19,00,350/- (Rs.15,99,476/- + Rs.3,05,874/- GST). After effecting QC recovery of Rs.1,42,225/-, the balance amount payable to the petitioner is Rs.18,86,125/-. However, the petitioner has claimed only Rs.15,99,476/- in the present Writ Petition. It is further submitted that the payment process has already been initiated, that there are no disputes with regard to the claimed amount and that three months’ time is sought for payment of the said amount. The written instructions are placed on record. 5. Having regard to the fact that there is no dispute with regard to the works executed by the petitioner, and in view of the submissions made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj & Rural Development, the respondent authorities are directed to pay an amount of Rs.15,99,476/- (Rupees Fifteen Lakh Ninety-Nine thousand Four Hundred and Seventy-Six only) to the petitioner, within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6 6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
