Petitioner was engaged as a daily wager in Forest Department in 1984 and his services were regularised in the year 2021 vide order dated 02.06.2021. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief: “I. Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding and directing the respondents to pay arrears of minimum of pay scale as per recommendation of 7th pay commission including dearness allowance w.e.f. 1.1.2016 to June 2021 to the petitioner in accordance with law.” 3. Learned State Counsel submits that for seeking writ of mandamus, petitioner should have first approached the competent authority by making representation. He submits that petitioner has not made any representation. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner be permitted to make 2026:UHC:1261 representation and the competent authority be asked to take decision thereupon. 5. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by permitting petitioner to make representation to the competent authority. If he makes representation within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within three months thereafter.
