Accused No.1 in Crime No.156 of 2026 registered by Cottonpet Police Station, Bengaluru City for offences punishable under Sections 109(1), 115(2), 351(2) r/w Section 3(5) of BNS, 2023 is before this Court and this petition filed under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023 seeking regular bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime of No.156 of 2026 was registered by Cottonpet Police Station, Bengaluru City for initially for offences punishable under Sections 109(1), 115(2) r/w Section 3(5) of BNS, 2023 against the petitioner and others. In the said case, petitioner was arrested on 20.05.2026 and remanded to judicial custody. His bail application filed before the jurisdictional - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010629542026 NC: 2026:KHC:51270 CRL.P No. 14041 of 2026 Session Court in Crl.Misc.No.8377 of 2026 which was rejected on 29.08.2026. Therefore, he is before this Court. 4. A reading of the first information as well as the charge sheet would go to show that in the alleged incident that had taken place on the intervening night of 19.05.2026 and 20.05.2026, the petitioner allegedly had assaulted the injured victim Saquib Pasha with a knife on his chest and other parts of his body. Saquib Pasha, who was admitted in hospital was discharged on 26.05.2026 and his condition is stable. All other accused persons, who are arrested in the present case have granted regular bail. Investigation of the case is now completed and charge sheet is filed. Petitioner is said to be a person with criminal antecedents and another case is registered against him for similar offences. Under the circumstances, the following :- ORDER (i) Criminal petition is allowed. (ii) The petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in Crime No.156 of 2026 registered by Cottonpet Police Station, Bengaluru City for offences - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010629542026 NC: 2026:KHC:51270 CRL.P No. 14041 of 2026 punishable under Sections 109(1), 115(2), 351(2) r/w Section 3(5) of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions: a) The petitioner shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) with two sureties for the likesum, to the satisfaction of the jurisdictional Court; b) The petitioner shall appear regularly on all the dates of hearing before the Trial Court unless the Trial Court exempts his appearance for valid reasons; c) The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly threaten or tamper with the prosecution witnesses; d) The petitioner shall not involve in similar offences in future. e) The petitioner shall not leave the jurisdiction of the Trial Court without permission of the said Court until the case registered against him is disposed off. f) The petitioner shall appear before the Station House Officer of Cottonpet Police Station, Bengaluru City on every first Sunday of the month between 10.00 a.m. and 01.00 p.m. for a period of - 5 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010629542026 NC: 2026:KHC:51270 CRL.P No. 14041 of 2026 one year, from the date of his release from custody and mark his attendance.
