Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was arrested on 13.08.2024 and as there has been no progress in the trial of the case, prayer for bail has been advanced. It has been contended that prayer for bail of the present petitioner was earlier rejected by this court. Learned Public Prosecutor submits that the victims who were recovered in the present case are minors who have specifically named the present petitioner. Learned Public Prosecutor also submits that none of the accused persons in this case have been granted bail which is admitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner.
2 Having considered the complicity of the present petitioner, I am not inclined to grant bail to the present petitioner at this stage. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected. Accordingly, CRM (M) 1868 of 2026 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
