In terms of order dated 29th July, 2026 a communication dated 19th August, 2026 of Officer-in- Charge, Sundarban Coastal Police Station is placed before this Court and same is taken on record. Copy of communication dated 19th August, 2026 is made over to learned advocate representing petitioner. 2. It is disclosed in said communication dated 19th August, 2026 that steps were taken so that petitioner can stay at her residence. 3. Learned advocate representing petitioner also submits that petitioner was escorted to her residence with police assistance and petitioner stayed there. But it is submitted that due to constant threat and intimidation by local miscreants petitioner at present is staying at her relative’s house. 4. Officer-in-Charge, Sundarban Coastal Police Station being respondent no.4 is directed to provide necessary protection to petitioner which would enable petitioner to stay at her residence. 5. Liberty is also granted to petitioner to lodge complaint before concerned police authorities, in the event there is subsequent threat and intimidation by local miscreants. 6. If complaint is lodged, steps shall be taken by concerned police authorities in accordance with law. 7. Writ petition stands disposed of. 8.
