JUSTICE MICHAEL ZOTHANKHUMA O R D E R 12.02.2026 Heard Ms. Alito Swu, learned counsel for the petitioner who submits that the petitioner successfully executed the internal electrification for the work “Construction of SP Type Barrack (1 unit=36x24) SP Type Kitchen (16x12) and RCC type toiler (12x12) at Tsutapela Nagaland Gate (Mokokchung District) under MOD 2015” for an amount of Rs. 2,63,931/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Sixty three Thousand Nine Hundred and Thirty One). The work was successfully executed and Completion Certificate was issued by the concerned authority. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite the Completion Certificate having been issued, the pending bill of the petitioner has not been paid till date. Even after the petitioner had served Legal Notice dated 11.12.2025 to the respondents, the said due amount has not been paid. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the writ petition can be disposed of if a direction is issued to the respondent authorities to verify the bills of the petitioner and to pay to the petitioner the admitted amount. The learned counsel for the petitioner also prays for the Finance Commissioner to the Government of Nagaland, Finance Department to be impleaded as respondent No. 5. 4. On considering the prayer of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the Finance Commissioner to the Government of Nagaland, Finance
Page No.# 3/3 Department, is impleaded as respondent No. 5. The petitioner shall serve a corrected copy of the Cause Title to the Registry of this Court and to the counsel for the respondents. 5. Mr. K. Angami, learned Senior Government Advocate for the respondents submits that he has got no objection to the proposal made by the learned counsel for the petitioner. 6.
In view of the consent of the parties, the respondent Nos. 2 and 3 are directed to verify the bills of the petitioner and to pay to the petitioner the admitted amount. The same should be done within a period of 4 (four) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. Writ petition stands disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
