The writ appellant filed W.P.No.8073 of 2026 questioning the action of the official respondents in keeping the subject land, admeasuring Ac.2.00 cents in Sy.No.180/1 and Ac.1.39 cents in Sy.No.180/3 of Lam Village, Tadikonda Mandal, Guntur District, in the prohibited properties list maintained in the official records. 3. The writ petitioners’ case was that the subject land was assigned to them under Ex-Servicemen category on payment of the market value. 4. In the writ petition, it was submitted on behalf of the official respondents that the 2nd respondent therein, the District Collector, 4 Guntur, is the competent authority to consider the request of the writ petitioners. 5. Considering the submissions advanced, the learned Single Judge disposed of the writ petition by judgment and order dated 06.05.2026, permitting the writ petitioners to make a representation afresh to the 2nd respondent in the writ petition raising their grievance and respondent Nos.2 to 4 were directed to consider the same and dispose in accordance with law within the specified time. 6. Challenging the said order, the writ petitioners have filed the present writ appeal. 7. Learned counsel for the writ appellants submits that the writ petitioners had submitted an online application before the competent authority on 09.03.2026 seeking deletion of the subject land from the prohibited properties list. He further submits that, pursuant to the order passed in the writ petition, the writ petitioners also submitted a fresh application/representation on 27.05.2026. 8. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the online application/representation dated 09.03.2026 had already been considered and decided by the Joint Collector, Guntur, vide 5 proceedings dated 20.04.2026. However, the said fact appears not to have been brought to the notice of the learned Single Judge in the writ petition and consequently, the order under appeal came to be passed. Pursuant thereto, the writ petitioners have filed fresh application/representation. 9. Learned counsels for both the sides submit that, in view of the proceedings dated 20.04.2026, there is no need to pass any fresh order on the fresh application/representation submitted by the writ petitioners. 10. However, Sri V.V.Satish, learned counsel for the writ appellants submits that liberty may be granted to the writ appellants to avail the appropriate legal remedy by approaching the competent forum, if they are aggrieved by the proceedings dated 20.04.2026. 11. Recording the aforesaid submissions and granting liberty as prayed for, the Writ Appeal is disposed of, leaving it open to the writ appellants to avail such appropriate remedy as may be available under law and as may be advised.
