Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 262 days and there is no possibility of the witness action commencing in near future. It has also been additionally submitted that the FIR was against unknown miscreants and there are no eyewitnesses to the incident which would substantiate the case so far as the present petitioner is concerned. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the CCTV footage has been collected and sent to the forensic examiner concerned. Till date the report has not been received. State would submit a supplementary charge-sheet immediately on receipt of such report. Having considered the heinousness of the offence, I am 2 not inclined to release the petitioner on bail at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM(M)2656 of 2025 is dismissed. Case diary be returned to the learned advocate appearing for the State.
